
Activities for people with special needs
Dorcas
Members with special needs attend the lunch club on Monday. Coffee and biscuits are served on arrival followed by a game of dominoes and gentle exercises. During the summer months there are trips out to Whirlow Grange for lunch and at Christmas there is a Christmas lunch.
Luncheon Club
The Day Centre and Luncheon Club is held on our premises each Tuesday from 11 am to 2.30 pm for the elderly housebound in our area. The aim is to provide a caring environment with a hot meal together with other activities and outings.
This club would not be possible without our wonderful team of volunteers and the friendly and hard working volunteer drivers and escorts from Transport 17, our local community transport.
This year is the 30th year of our existence, being one of the City's original Lunch Clubs - still running! We are, however, always looking for volunteers so if you think you could offer help in any way please contact one of the following:
